Tim began his ministry as Lead Pastor at TCBC in December of 2019. Throughout the years, Tim has served as a Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Lead Pastor, German Pastor/Church Planter, Church Planting Strategist for Western Europe (with the IMB), and then back to the USA where he was again a Church Planter, Consultant, Counselor, and now once again Lead Pastor. Teaching the Word every week and hanging out with people (especially grandkids) are his favorite things. He is a passionate History buff and enjoys a good crime show on TV, Atlanta Braves baseball, and University of Georgia football!

AMBER MABRY

Kids Ministries Director

Amber began her ministry as Kids Director at TCBC in 2018 after being a member and involved parent at TCBC for 10 years. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from Penn State University. She moved to Charlotte in 2005, then Tega Cay in 2008. Amber has been married to her husband Randy for 15 years and together they have 4 daughters ranging from elementary through middle school ages. She enjoys a good book and a quiet space, chocolate, hiking, and the mountains. Her desire is to raise and teach Biblically literate kids to become followers of an amazing God at a young age.

JONATHAN LEFTWICH

Worship & Student Director

Jonathan began serving in ministry at TCBC as the Director of Worship & Students in 2021. Though born in Georgia, Jonathan has spent most of his life in the greater Charlotte area learning about and working in many industries including, but not limited to, customer service, private moving, performing arts, worship ministry, and student ministry. He and his wife, Hannah, along with their canine companion, Winston, love all things outdoors and old fashion. Jonathan’s desire is to teach students the truth of God’s Word and what it looks like to pursue a God-glorifying lifestyle set apart from the culture we live in. Through worshiping in song and lifestyle, Jonathan also desires to acknowledge God for who He is and what He has done.

KELSEY RICE

Financial Administrator / Administrative Assistant

Kelsey has been a part of the TCBC staff since August 2020. She is a native of Barnwell, SC, but fell in love with the area while earning her degree from Winthrop University. She has a love for creating church material that keeps the congregation and community engaged, and a desire to be a welcoming face to all who enter the office. She enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing at the beach, exploring coffee shops and restaurants with her husband, John, and snuggling with their cat, Ollie.

OUR STRUCTURE

Jesus Christ: (Ephesians 5:22-33) The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church. He purchased the church with His blood that was shed on the cross. We are His bride. We follow His lead.

CongregationThe Congregation will be the highest human authority of TCBC and is the population of members. The Congregation will affirm leaders (Elders and Deacons) by vote and will entrust and empower them to oversee and coordinate the Ministry Teams.

Elders: (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9) An Elder is an ordained man charged with the task of leading the spiritual direction of the church. The Elder Body or The Elders is a team of Elders. The Elders must be able to teach, exhort in sound doctrine and refute those who contradict the Scriptures. They are a team of equals who will exercise oversight, accountability and be responsible for providing clear vision to the church. The Elder Body models and teaches biblical godliness, equips the saints for the work of the ministry, prays, teaches, upholds doctrine, oversees church discipline, restores and reclaims members and shepherds the flock. They will be servant-enablers to the Ministry Teams assigned to them. The Elder Body will be made up of ministerial staff (paid) Elder(s) and lay Elders.

Deacons: (Acts 6:1-6; 1 Timothy 3:8-13) A Deacon is an ordained man charged with the task of serving the material and spiritual needs of the church. The Deacon Body or The Deacons is a team of Deacons. They will give leadership and direction to the physical aspect of church life as servant-enablers to the Ministry Teams assigned to them. Ultimately the Deacon Body reports to and is accountable to the Elder Body.
